There will be no Babenheimer to save Hollywood this summer.
Facing a sluggish start due to a lack of buzzy blockbusters and a disappointing opening for Universal Pictures fall guy, starring Ryan Gosling, looks like the summer of 2024 will be a long and difficult struggle at the box office. It has been steadily profitable for three years since the pandemic, thanks to titles such as: oppenheimer barbieand top gun: maverick — Hollywood could experience a summer hiatus.

Hollywood’s summer lineup is once again full of sequels – Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Same goes for animation inside out 2 and Despicable Me 4. The only superhero movies on the summer calendar are Disney movies deadpool & wolverine — Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman franchise crossover.
While surprising events occur, top gun: maverick 2022 has exceeded almost all expectations. The aforementioned sequels are not expected to outperform their predecessors at the box office.None of them caused any pre-release buzz barbie and oppenheimer Into the stratosphere.
