The Senate is scheduled to vote Monday afternoon on whether to add Sara's Law as an amendment. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), would require ICE to detain undocumented immigrants charged with killing or seriously injuring another person.
A final vote on the immigration bill is expected to take place in the Senate around 6 p.m.

The House will then have to debate the bill again, and the Senate will have to approve the revised final version.
The bill was made a priority ahead of President Trump's swearing-in on Monday, as the new president is expected to make immigration enforcement a top goal of his administration.
