Lawsuit accusing Jay-Z, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of raping 13-year-old girl quietly dismissed

The lawsuit accusing Jay-Z and Shawn “Diddy” comb, allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl, was quietly fired by lawyers on Friday.

Jane Doe's attorney Tony Busby filed a “notice of voluntary dismissal” in Manhattan federal court to close the lawsuit on alleged assault over 20 years ago.

The filing does not indicate whether a settlement has been reached in the case. But Diddy's lawyer said there was nothing.

“Today's complete termination without settlement by 1-800 lawyers is another confirmation that these cases are built on falsehood rather than fact,” the team said.

“For months, I've seen cases that have been filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, followed by cases that have been moved forward by lawyers who focus on media headlines rather than legal merit. The same as this claim. Like, others fall apart because they have no truth.”

Still, Jay-Z and his legal team were filed in December to celebrate the end of the lawsuit as a victory. Buzbee tore Buzbee as “a 1-800 lawyer.”

“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictional, and gruesome allegation has been dismissed,” Hova wrote in a statement. “The fictional stories they created were hilarious, if not due to the seriousness of the claim.”

“My wife, my children, my loved ones, and the trauma I endured can never be dismissed.”

The “Hard Knock Life” rapper added: “A 1-800 lawyer can hide behind Jane Doo and file a lawsuit. And when they quickly realize that their money grabs are failing, they leave without affecting them. System failed.”

The lawsuit levied disturbing allegations against Jay-Z and Combs. In September 2000, he accused the legendary rapper of raping a teenager at a drug-fueled VMAS afterparty.

The complaint was originally filed against Diddy alone in October, but has been amended to include Sean Carter, also known as Jay-Z.

When he was first named last December, Carter alleged his innocence overall and called the lawsuit a totally “terrifying mail.”

Alex Spiro, Jay-Z's lawyer in the case representing Mayor Adams, issued a statement.

“In standing up in the face of a brutal or false allegation, Jay did a few things. He was pushed back, restless, not paying a single red penny, won his name and cleared it.” Spiro said.
