LeBron James on Monday criticized reports about his son Bronny in a since-deleted X post, noting that the USC guard was taken out of a mock draft.
NBA Central’s X account posted about a report that ESPN “removed Bronny James from the 2024 mock draft, but now projects he will be selected in 2025.” The Los Angeles Lakers star appears to take issue with the post.

“Please let this kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball,” James wrote. “Whatever he decides to do, the work and the results will ultimately speak. If you don’t know he doesn’t care about what’s in the mock draft, he just works. Only! Earned, Not Given!”
“And to all the other kids out there striving to be great, just keep your head down, your blindfolds on, and keep gridding. These mock drafts don’t matter one bit! I promise! Work! That’s all that matters!! Let’s talk about real basketball, people!”
James deleted the post shortly after.
His comments come more than a month after he told reporters on Jan. 6 that Bronny “could play for us right now, it’s easy,” the newspaper said. . fox sports.

James has previously been adamant about playing with Bronny in the NBA. However, he called it off in May.
“I’ve done what I was supposed to do in this league, and my son is on his way,” he told ESPN. “And no matter what his journey is and how that journey unfolds, he’s going to do what’s best for him.
“And as his father and mother and Savannah and his brothers and sisters, we’re going to support him in whatever he decides to do. So just because those are my aspirations and goals, it’s his.” That doesn’t necessarily mean it is, and I’m totally fine with that.”

Bronny James suffered a heart attack during preseason training before taking the floor at the University of Southern California.
