Wang spoke about his support for Iona's latest head men's basketball coach.
Shortly after the Gaels announced Dan Geriot as the team's latest basketball coach on Thursday, Lebron James took him to social media to congratulate him.
“Hell Yeeaaaahhhh big dan!!!! Congratulations!!!” James posted on X.
Geriot, 36, previously served as an assistant in the NBA for 10 years before playing roles in nine Iona in the Cavaliers organization.
His time in Cleveland coincided with James' Second Cab Stenure (2015-18), with Gerliott being named assistant coach during his 40-year-old final season with the team.
In presenting Gerliott as the school's latest head coach, Iona added the first general manager in the program's history.
Iona cited a push to increase school zero income as one of the reasons behind hiring Gerliott.

The program requires a different orientation and structure to maintain the success that Iona basketball has achieved over decades.” “Dangeriot's experience fits well with the needs of the program, and under his guidance, we are confident that our student-athletes will grow and succeed on and off the court.”

Gerliott's employment comes just three days after Iona, surprisingly, letting go of Tobin Anderson.
Anderson took over the program after Rick Pitino left for St. John's before the 2023-24 season.
Anderson was unable to replicate Guerres' success after Pitino let Iona compete in two NCAA tournaments during his three-year tenure at school.
During Anderson's two years at Iona, False was unable to escape from the MAAC tournament.
