Left-wing activists in X alleged that former President Donald Trump’s campaign posted a video depicting supporters of President Joe Biden in New York City as Trump supporters.
The obvious problem with these claims is that the video was captured of Trump supporters lining the streets of New York City as he returned from his ongoing trial.
Margo Martin, the Trump campaign’s deputy director of communications, said: Posted Video from the scene on Monday, with some in the crowd seen wearing iconic MAGA hats, has garnered more than 5,000 likes and more than 500,000 views.
When Eric Trump shared the video, his post was accompanied by a community note saying the video was from a Biden supporter. Democratic activist Harry Sisson gloated over the false community note. Says“Facts, logic and evidence are the Republican Party’s biggest enemies.” Sisson has since deleted the post.
“The only liars here are you and Joe Biden.”

Not to be outdone, former NBC senior executive Mike Sinton shared a screenshot of the video, saying, “Trump is sneaky. He posts a video of a crowd of people watching President Biden’s motorcade and claims it’s a crowd waiting for him. But he knows it’s a lie — and sadly, his rubes will believe it.”
“The only people lying here are you and Joe Biden. I took this video from President Trump’s motorcade outside Trump Tower. Here’s a time-stamped screenshot from my phone,” Martin said. Said In response to Ms. Sinton, she certified that she recorded the video at 5:52 p.m.
Like Sisson, Sinton eventually deleted his posts.
Trump is set to host a rally in the South Bronx on Thursday to highlight his gains in the deep blue district.
