R-Fla. Rep. Kat Cammack and R-Ind. Senator Jim Banks introduced the “Defund NPR Act” this week as he is being scrutinized by Republican lawmakers.

“Americans have hundreds of news and commentary, and don't have to choose what politically biased taxpayer-funded media should see and hear. PBS and NPR can use donations to compete freely in the market for ideas, but their subsidies should end,” Lee said in a statement at the time.
NPR did not respond to requests for comment in time for publication.
