R-Fla. Rep. Kat Cammack and R-Ind. Senator Jim Banks introduced the “Defund NPR Act” this week as he is being scrutinized by Republican lawmakers.

Banks, a longtime friend, to introduce the Defund NPR Act in the House,” Cammack said in a statement. “The last Congress, the Energy & Commerce Committee, held a hearing on the situation in NPR and how the federal fund will be used for left-wing activities under the journalism Monica.”

If NPR is not floating without government funding, it tells you everything you need to know about the quality of their news,” Banks said in a statement. “Americans have hundreds of news and commentary, and don't have to choose what politically biased taxpayer-funded media should see and hear. PBS and NPR can use donations to compete freely in the market for ideas, but their subsidies should end,” Lee said in a statement at the time.
NPR did not respond to requests for comment in time for publication.
