Leftist violence increases as Democrats focus on ICE instead of terrorists

For many years, the media and federal agencies have been alerting Americans about the perceived dangers to political rights within our communities. Various groups—including gun-owning veterans, conservative Christians, and supporters of Donald Trump—have been pivotal in this narrative. President Joe Biden has gone so far as to label white supremacy as the “most dangerous terrorist threat” facing the nation.

Ever since Trump’s reelection, the intensity of the rhetoric has increased. Publications like the Washington Post and the Guardian have cautioned that his return to power could lead to a surge in far-right violence.

But there’s a counterargument. Some believe the real domestic threat doesn’t stem from the so-called “MAGA grandmas” or individuals with guns, but instead arises from radical leftist groups, including anarchists and Marxist extremists, who openly oppose law enforcement and civil institutions.

A Deliberate Oversight

On July 4th, a group of masked individuals attacked the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, using fireworks, graffiti, and firearms to confront law enforcement. Journalist Andy Ngo linked these assailants to an Antifa cell in the area.

Authorities arrested 14 suspects and discovered firearms, tactical gear, and a plan that indicated intentions to kill law enforcement officers. This incident is far from an outlier; it fits a troubling trend of rising violence from leftist factions since last December.

Monthly Incidents

In December 2024, a notable attack involved the shooting of Luigi Mangione, 26, the CEO of United Health Group, who left a manifesto criticizing the American healthcare system. Some social media users even hailed him as a modern-day Robin Hood.

According to Emerson College polls, a staggering 41% of Americans aged 18-29 found murder to be “acceptable” or “somewhat acceptable.” In January, a man was apprehended near the U.S. Capitol while carrying a Molotov cocktail, reportedly planning to assassinate Trump appointees.

Subsequent months saw rising incidents ranging from attacks on Tesla vehicles to bombings of political headquarters. In April, the home of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro was bombed, purportedly as retaliation for perceived injustices against Palestinians.

By May, two young Israeli embassy staff members were killed in Washington, D.C., after an assailant claimed the act was in solidarity with Gaza. And illegal immigration protests turned violent across the country, with fires and attacks aimed at law enforcement.

These events are interconnected, forming an escalating pattern of political violence fueled by radical beliefs.

Democrats and Radicalism

The unsettling fact is that many of these actions aren’t just the work of fringe groups; they’re often tacitly supported or downplayed by elected Democrats.

In Minnesota, Governor Tim Walz has described ICE as “Trump’s modern Gestapo.” Other Democratic leaders have made similar comparisons, indicating a broader acceptance of radical rhetoric within their ranks.

Research indicates that a significant number of self-identified center-left individuals consider violence against Donald Trump justified. It appears that some Democratic officials are losing touch with moderate voters, allowing radicalism to gain a foothold.

This isn’t merely about immigration or Trump; it’s about the fundamental integrity of our democratic state when a major political party dismisses the authority of established institutions.

The underlying truth remains critical. Upholding law and order must take precedence, and if the left is unwilling to fulfill that role, then it falls upon others to do so.
