I enjoyed it, especially the villa, but I think that's more due to the novelty than the format. My main complaint is the additional games. It's never going to happen, but it's a way to get to the league stage. Really What's interesting is that instead of 24 teams, 12 teams will qualify. The top four teams will advance directly to the quarterfinals, and the next eight teams will participate in the playoffs. It means fewer games and more danger, but frankly, that's how I prefer it.
