Former President Donald Trump is used to the media taking him out of context, and the media’s response to his recent comments about the auto industry is no exception.
After a recent rally speech, multiple news outlets published out-of-context headlines about the former president’s prediction of a “disaster” in the auto industry job market if Biden wins and continues his disastrous policies. Reported.
Trump simply explained to the audience that China is building a manufacturing plant in Mexico to sell cars in the United States “duty-free at the border.”
“You’re building a giant monster car manufacturing plant in Mexico right now, and you think you’re going to get it,” Trump told the Chinese president. Are you going to sell us a car? ”
“No. I’m going to impose a 100% tariff on every car that crosses the line, and if I win, I won’t be able to sell those cars. If I don’t win, this country will be in disaster.” “That would be the bare minimum,” he said.
“He’s talking about our auto industry because communist China is trying to avoid the tariffs it imposed,” Mark Levine said, adding, “Donald Trump said, ‘No, that’s not true. It’s not going to happen,” he added. I will impose a 100% tariff on them,’ and in that context he is talking about bloodshed. ”
The media reported his words as if they were calling for violence if he loses the 2024 presidential election.
“This is totalitarianism,” Levin says. “This is how you lose your country and your society. When the truth is irrelevant, when the law is irrelevant. When you can say whatever you want and it becomes established.”
“There’s a lot of lies and propaganda coming out,” Levin added.
