Elon Musk Faces Controversy Over Transgender Comment

Billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly drawn backlash from some in the transgender community following remarks he made about homicide rates related to transgender individuals.

Musk responded to a post concerning a transgender group called the Zizian cult, which has come under scrutiny from independent journalist Andy Ngo due to alleged links to various murders. The supposed leader of this group was arrested in February 2025 in Maryland.

“He’s putting up Hitler’s numbers, so maybe he should shut up before he starts spouting lies like this,” a trans activist, Alejandra Caraballo, reacted on social media.

On his platform, X, Musk stated, “The plain reality is that when you give mentally unstable people anger-inducing hormones, you see a huge increase in homicides.” He added that the murder rate among transgender individuals is over three times that of the general population.

This stirred quite a bit of attention, particularly among transgender activists, with Caraballo emphasizing that Musk’s influence reportedly results in more deaths than those of transgender individuals in the U.S.

Another user, named Aubrey, suggested that Musk, identified as a “reclusive trans woman,” should be “culled,” a term often referring to euthanasia.

Aubrey’s message claimed, “Elon Musk should be culled from humanity if we want to preserve the light of consciousness.”

Musk’s assertions regarding murder rates among transgender individuals have faced challenges, including a rebuttal from his AI service, Grok, which pointed out that transgender-identified perpetrators account for only a small percentage in mass shooting databases.

While some support Musk’s statements, others find them troubling and misleading, suggesting a need for further discussion surrounding these sensitive topics without resorting to threats or extreme sentiments.
