Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold taken into custody for charges of kidnapping and armed robbery

Detroit Lions Player Arrested on Kidnapping Charges

Tampa police revealed on Wednesday that Terrion Arnold, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions, has been arrested on charges of kidnapping and robbery stemming from a February incident.

Earlier this year, on February 4th, police detained six individuals connected to what they called a “targeted armed robbery.” Arnold turned himself in on Wednesday night and was processed at the Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County, facing four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery.

An NFL representative acknowledged the situation, stating, “We are aware of this matter and have been in contact with the club. We have no further comment at this time.”

The Lions did not respond to requests for comment concerning Arnold’s arrest.

According to investigators, Arnold was staying at an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, accompanied by several co-defendants, including Jasmine Randazzo (19), Lindell Hudson II (26), Christian Williams (24), and Boakai Hilton Jr. (23). Other individuals were also present at the location.

It’s reported that three male victims, all teenagers, were robbed at a residence in the 14000 block of North 46th Street in Tampa. They allegedly faced assault, held at gunpoint, and even pistol-whipped before being removed from the premises.

On February 1st, items belonging to Arnold and others went missing from the Airbnb, which led him to suspect two of the victims. However, Tampa police later established that the victims were not involved in the theft.

Arnold, along with Hilton and another individual, filed a report of over $250,000 stolen to the Largo Police on February 3rd.

Authorities allege that following this, Arnold and Hilton collaborated with Del Valle and Randazzo to lure one of the victims to their apartment.

Once the victims arrived on February 4, Williams and Hudson hid in a closet before ambushing them. During the incident, Del Valle reportedly streamed the events to Arnold, Hilton, and Hughes as they approached the apartment. A group chat was also discovered, indicating that Arnold and Hilton directed the actions of their accomplices during the assault.

Law enforcement claims Arnold led the group into the apartment around 1 a.m. While the assault unfolded, others gathered the victims’ belongings. After about 40 minutes, the victims were forced into a car and left the scene, eventually alerting Tampa police, who provided descriptions leading to the identification of those involved.

Investigators believe Arnold was the principal organizer of the alleged crime based on the evidence collected.

Arnold hails from Alabama and was a first-round pick for the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 23-year-old had shown promise during his first season, with his first interception occurring against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9. Despite that, he was limited to just eight games due to a shoulder injury that necessitated season-ending surgery.

In his rookie year, Arnold participated in 16 games, recording 10 passes defended and a total of 60 tackles.
