The Polish army has established a group to support the Lithuanian Army and the US troops in a recovery operation for four US soldiers who disappeared on Tuesday during a training exercise near Pabrado, Lithuania.
Soldiers based at Fort Stewart, Georgia, were on an M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle on a scheduled maintenance mission to restore civil servants in another US military vehicle in the training area, US Army Europe and Africa. Weesbaden, Germanyconfirmed.
Hundreds of us, Lithuanian soldiers and law enforcement, Lithuanian military helicopters and diving teams assisted in the first ground-based search through thick forest and wetland terrain.
However, the soldiers were not yet located, and it turns out that the M88 Hercules is immersed in a body of water within the training area above a highly pressurized gas pipeline near Pabrado, north of the capital, Vilnius.

In an interview with Fox News Digital on Thursday afternoon, Lithuanian Defense Minister Doville Shakarien said from the moment the country learned of the incident it “given everything” to find soldiers, both from the military and the Ministry of Home Affairs agencies.
“From a helicopter with thermal vision to applying force to the ground, we're continuing to be extremely intense,” Shakarien said.
US Army Europe and Africa's official duties point out that there is a “complex recovery effort” in the water, thick mud and soft ground around the site, requiring special equipment to drain water from the sides and stabilize the ground.
Polish officials announced Thursday that they were sending a group of troops equipped with engineered equipment to help them.
As of Thursday afternoon, officials said the land drought equipment was on the way and the dam was being strengthened to isolate the mud pumping area.
According to Shakarien ė, the pressurized gas has been removed and is now safe to work on the site.

The internal water waste agency will need to send water mustard dough and 900 feet of bulk pipes on Friday morning and reach the location by noon.
It takes several hours to install the pipeline and dreders. They then begin to inflow of water with the excavator.
“The dredger pump usually pumps 80% of the water while working with 20% of the mud and sludge. The goal is to start working with the pump until the evening. Ultimately, on Saturday morning, divers and waterway teams can use the founder of multi-beam echo to assess the vehicle's position.

“Then you can check if there's any missing soldier inside,” she said.
Shakalien said it is unclear whether the soldiers were able to escape the vehicle before it sunk, but reiterated that as of Thursday afternoon, “there are no evidence” confirming the death of the missing soldier.

The area surrounding this location is a forested area with marsh and marsh, similar to the environment found in Alaska. The weather conditions are similar, making it a challenging training area for Army personnel.
“Maybe they're lost, confused, hurt, or hypothermia, and we haven't found it yet,” Shakarien said. “But we haven't lost hope until the last moment. These are strong soldiers, strong, grown men. All scenarios are possible.”

She added Lithuania Members of NATOthey view American soldiers as their own and do not leave them behind.
“We're working with them. We're friends with them and our society is all heartbroken at every moment of this rescue operation,” Shakarien said. “I have a 24-year-old son. It's hard to imagine what they are going through. …We will do it on our own strength, find them, and find the answer as quickly as possible.”

Poland's Deputy Prime Minister Vaudiswaukhossiniak Kamisi has confirmed that he is a task force of dozens of Polish soldiers with heavily armed at the X.
“We are responding to requests from allies from #Strongertogether,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote in the post.
The country, who is also a member of NATO, reportedly fears that talks between Russia and Ukraine will end in a settlement that will allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to threaten the region.

Lithuanian officials said they are in contact with US ambassador Kara C. McDonald and US Army personnel.
“We are leveraging all available US and Lithuanian assets to coordinate and provide the resources needed for this effort,” Major General Curti Staylor, commander general of the 1st Armored Division, wrote in a statement.
According to a statement from US military Europe and Africa, rescue missions have been transformed into “search and recovery efforts.”
“We are extremely grateful for the dedicated and professional efforts of our Lithuanian allies to ensure the safety of our US staff,” Taylor added. “They have been tirelessly working with us over the past 48 hours. We continue to thank them for their support.”

The US Army's 3rd Infantry Division continues to update the Soliders' family in searches.
“This tragic situation weighs heavily on us all, and we are keeping our soldiers, our recovery team's family, friends and teammates in our thoughts and prayers,” Taylor wrote. “We want everyone to know that we won't stop until we find our soldiers.”
President Donald Trump told reporters Wednesday that the missing soldier had not been described.
The training site is less than six miles from Belarus, a Russian ally since its independence from the Soviet Union in 1990.

Lithuania, a Catholic country, will organize a communal prayer at the capital Cathedral, the main church on Sunday, and hold a mass for missing soldiers.
