Recent Socialist Wins in New York
This month, New York City witnessed three significant victories for socialism, but this movement isn’t just confined to the city. If not addressed, it could extend nationwide.
Liz Wheeler, host of “The Liz Wheeler Show,” expresses concern over these developments. She describes the individuals involved as “extremists” and warns that they pose a serious risk to the nation. So, how did this happen?
Nonetheless, she offers some optimistic news: it is possible to counteract these trends.
“We might not need the help of the passive Republicans in Congress. President Trump can take decisive action,” she suggests.
Wheeler believes that a priority for Trump should be to “defund” educational institutions that promote anti-American ideologies. She points out that this applies not only to public colleges but also to private ones, as many accept federal funding in the form of student loans and grants.
“Let’s cut funding across the board,” she asserts.
Next, she emphasizes the need to prosecute individuals who indoctrinate children with communist ideologies. “Some might label this approach as McCarthyism 2.0, but maybe that’s a necessary starting point. We should indict them,” she remarks.
Wheeler also urges reporting those who glorify tragic events, such as the murder of Charlie Kirk. “Inform your parents, alert your school, and notify your employer. We must address these issues in our society. This isn’t about cancel culture; it’s about self-defense,” she insists.
Additionally, she suggests infiltrating and dismantling radical organizations identified as immediate threats. She recalls a recent incident where a leader involved in thwarting a major terrorist attack was an undocumented immigrant.
“It’s crucial to infiltrate and neutralize radical terrorist entities, particularly those funded by groups like BLM and Antifa, as they serve as ideological enforcers of this dangerous agenda,” she explains.
Moreover, Wheeler advocates for K-12 public schools to adopt a curriculum that emphasizes pro-American, pro-Western Civilization, and pro-Christian values. “This way, kids won’t be as susceptible to indoctrination once they reach college. We need to ensure they’re well-prepared before stepping into that environment,” she notes.
Wheeler provides this outline to reveal how New York has been shaped by these ideologies and stresses the importance of recognizing this as a significant threat, not just for New York, but for cities and states all over the U.S.
