Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry announced Thursday that the Georgia Bulldogs and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will attend the Sugar Bowl in the wake of the terrorist attack that killed more than a dozen people in New Orleans.

Landry appeared on “Fox & Friends” and vowed that security would be tight.
“Security will be tight,” he said. “We all feel confident in hosting this game. The Superdome is completely safe. Again, the FBI continues to pour resources into our state.”
Landry's comments come as authorities search for people of interest in connection with the Bourbon Street attack on Shamsud Din Jabbar. He was the suspect who drove his truck into the crowd and was later killed in a shootout with police.

The attack killed 15 people and injured several others.
Before the attack, Jabbar posted a video on social media declaring his allegiance to Islamic State. The FBI's investigation now spans multiple states, but the number of persons of interest remains unknown.
“FBI special agents and law enforcement partners are currently executing numerous court-authorized search warrants in New Orleans and other states,” the bureau said in a statement. “The FBI's Evidence Response Team continues to process the crime scene to carefully collect all relevant evidence.”

The FBI said it does not believe the driver acted alone. Investigators found a gun and what appeared to be an improvised explosive device inside Jabbar's truck elsewhere in the French Quarter.
