Last month, Luke Combs and Eric Church held a concert to raise money for Hurricane Helen relief. At the 2024 CMA Awards, Combs spoke about his efforts before introducing Church on stage.
After Combs shared with the audience that he and Church had raised more than $24 million for victims of Hurricane Helen in North Carolina, Church came out to sing his song “Darkest Hour (Helene Edition).” Church previously announced that all proceeds from the song would be donated to help hurricane victims.
Church's moving performance, which featured a choir of singers and a small orchestra, showed images of the devastation left in the storm's wake, relief efforts, loved ones hugging each other, and photos showing the cross and American flag standing strong. Ta. .

Combs and Church, both from North Carolina, experienced hurricane damage near their home.
“I remember there was a video of an area in Western North Carolina that I knew well, and…I had no idea what I was looking at. This area that I grew up in, that I knew. “It was shocking for me to see, 'I didn't recognize it anymore,'” Church previously told FOX News Digital ahead of the benefit concert.
“It's a very special place to me. I have so many memories there. I just hate to see it in what condition it is in,” Combs also said.

Concert for the Carolinas was a hastily organized event by the country star. The event was hosted by ESPN's Marty Smith and Barstool Sports' Caleb Presley. The concert was held at Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina.
Performances included many big stars including James Taylor, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Bailey Zimmerman, Scotty McCreary, Chase Rice, the Avett Brothers, Palmeraly, and Nicole Kidman. and Randy Travis also made special appearances.

Also during the show, Church announced that his organization would build 100 homes for victims of Hurricane Helen.
The hastily planned event had no shortage of participants, with more than 82,000 people filling their seats to support the cause.
