Lynda Carter snubs sister, endorses Democratic candidates in state race

Actress Lynda Carter, best known for playing Wonder Woman in the 1970s, insulted her conservative sister over the weekend by endorsing her opponent in an Arizona state legislative election.

Rather than choosing to support her sister or remain silent, Carter chose to publicly voice his support for Democratic opponents Karen Gresham and Kerry Butler.

“I was born in Arizona. Translator and @KarenGreshamAZ fOr perhaps we will compete for two LD4 seats in the Arizona State Assembly,” Carter wrote to X on Sept. 14. “Kelly and Karen are both talented and experienced candidates born and raised in Arizona.”

“These are working mothers fighting for the rights that matter most to Arizonans, especially the right of every child to a quality education,” she added.

Pamela Carter's platform includes commitments to fighting inflation, supporting law enforcement and securing the southern border. “Our open borders allow human trafficking, drugs (including fentanyl), gangs, narcotics and violence to flow across our borders in record amounts,” her website states. “We are all put at risk because politicians are too busy fighting each other to fight for us.”

“I believe we must secure our border, enforce Arizona's laws, and stop the flow of drugs, crime, and violence,” the Republican added. “Legal immigration has long been a source of American strength and is worthy of renewal, but nothing meaningful will be accomplished unless illegal immigration is nearly eradicated.”

Two days after endorsing the Democratic candidate, Carter also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the next US presidential election.
