Speculation about a romantic relationship between Aaron Rodgers and Mallory Edens gained traction in 2023 when an undisclosed source claimed they were “more than friends,” although they preferred to keep things “low-key.”
The couple had been seen together at several Milwaukee Bucks games, yet neither of them confirmed their relationship, leaving much to the interpretation of the media and fans.
That all changed on Monday when Edens seemingly addressed comments made by the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback’s ex during a promotional tour.
There’s a chance that Edens, who is 30, might be discussing another former relationship, especially since the story she referenced sounded similar to what Rodgers shared during his own promotional activities, particularly about meeting his wife.
In an Instagram post, she remarked, “My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017. Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour, for a movie inspired by how down bad I was. Really exciting time for competing narratives!!”
She went on to highlight that her film, “Charlie Harper,” hits theaters this Friday.
Although Rodgers didn’t mention Edens specifically during his press tour, he did talk about a period in which he described himself as being “emotionally unavailable,” which may pertain to their time together.
On a podcast, he shared, “I met my wife in 2017. At the time, she was leaving the states and going back to Europe, and my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there.”
This raises questions: Is there hidden drama regarding the end of Edens and Rodgers’ “low-key” relationship? Was her post a nod towards support or simply a promotional tactic for her movie?
It might be a bit of both. After all, it seems a strategic way to handle the situation while gaining some visibility for her upcoming project.
