Man accused of assaulting Barron Trump’s friend attacked her after she referred to the president’s son as ‘sweetheart,’ court reports.

A man accused of raping a long-distance friend of Barron Trump reportedly attacked her after she referred to her eldest son as “sweetheart,” as revealed in court on Friday.

Matvei Rumianstev, who is currently on trial in the UK for the incident, denies any wrongdoing related to this ex-girlfriend, asserting that he wasn’t angry about her relationship with Trump’s youngest son.

At 22 years old, the Russian national has admitted to feeling “somewhat jealous,” according to reports.

Prosecutors claim that Rumianstev became “furious” during the early hours of January 18 last year when he saw a FaceTime call from Barron on the woman’s phone.

After she answered, he allegedly raped her and later sent a text saying, “You started calling him lover and I felt so bad.”

In his defense, Rumianstev stated he did not feel angry at that time and insisted he had answered the call simply to resolve a drunken argument.

“I’m not sure what he expected, but perhaps he thought she wouldn’t act that way around others, especially Barron Trump,” he reflected regarding his choice to answer the call.

Barron reportedly called British police after witnessing the alleged assault.

The young woman involved noted that Barron’s intervention was crucial for her safety.

Details about how long Barron and the woman had known each other prior to the event remain unclear.

Despite the situation, Rumianstev claimed he usually didn’t take calls from Barron too seriously and “didn’t put much emphasis” on those calls.

“What I truly found upsetting was her behavior towards him,” he stated.

He also expressed frustration about being labeled as jealous, claiming that her actions were both wrong and unfair.

Rumianstev has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of assault and rape.

There’s been no comment from the White House concerning Barron’s role in this case.
