“We are relieved that no one was injured and the office was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Any form of violence will not be tolerated and we remain committed to protecting the safety and well-being of our community,” police said. Chief Aaron Goldstein said in a statement.

On Sunday, a law went into effect forcing TikTok's China-based parent company ByteDance to withdraw from the app or risk being banned in the United States. The app prepared for the ban, cutting off access to its platform from the United States just before midnight Saturday.

When American users opened the app, they saw a message saying, “A law has been enacted in the United States that bans TikTok. Unfortunately, this means you can't use TikTok for the time being.”

But on Sunday, TikTok announced it was “in the process” of restarting its service in the U.S., just about 12 hours after cutting off access to U.S. users.

“In agreement with our service provider, TikTok is working to restore service,” TikTok said in a statement posted on social platform X.

“To bring TikTok to over 170 million Americans and allow over 7 million small businesses to thrive, please provide us with the clarity and assurance we need that service providers will not be penalized. Thank you, President Trump, for your continued support.”
