man arrested for Suspicion of property damage A man was denied bail after police found weapons and a manifesto at his home, nearly a dozen cars outside the New Hampshire Republican convention.
Police say 37-year-old Lawrence Anthony Dunlap operated the keys to a car on April 13 while Republicans were attending a biennial event at Concord High School’s Christa McAuliffe Auditorium.
“It seems like someone knew there was a Republican event going on at the high school, and this was their chance to tell Republicans they hate us,” Republican Delegate De Lothrop said at the time. “Division is at its worst!”
Others reported threats made during the same period.
Concord Police Department Sergeant Benjamin Mitchell said they were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspect with a beard, long hair and riding a long skateboard near the car.
They identified the man as Dunlap and arrested him Friday.
Police said a search warrant at the man’s home “seized a bag containing a firearm, a manifesto, a suicide note, zip ties, a mask, and gloves,” as well as a “medieval mace” in the man’s possessions. A weapon was also discovered.

The judge refused bail, considering not only the suspect’s safety but also the safety of the community.
Dunlap was charged with 11 felony counts of criminal mischief.
