A man has been arrested and charged with starting two house fires after giving fireworks to his 11-year-old son.

July 4thNumberKaramjit Singh, 33, is accused of giving the boy fireworks outside his Levittown home and telling him to light them.
Police said the device malfunctioned and ignited an outbuilding, which became engulfed in flames.
Police said the fire spread to Singh’s house as well as a neighbouring house, with authorities saying both homes sustained extensive damage.
No one was at the neighbor’s home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
Neighbours said a single mother who was renting part of the Singh family’s house also had to flee for her life.
Singh is charged with numerous offences including fireworks, reckless endangerment, child endangerment and arson.
Singh pleaded not guilty during his arraignment and was released without bail on Friday.
