The man accused of attacking a Louisiana University student with a hammer said Monday why President Donald Trump moved some illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
Juan Monroy, 32, charged with attempted second-degree murder after allegedly attacking a Nichols State University student on Friday near St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Thibodeau, 60 miles west of New Orleans. It's been done.

Monroy was quickly caught for the university police and church staff, the school said. He was working on a non-university workplace adjacent to campus at the time of the incident, officials said.
The unidentified student was treated at a medical facility and released.

Monroy has been booked at the Rahulce Parish Correctional Facility, where he is in custody on $500,000 bail.
Additionally, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is also holding further release, the sheriff's office told Fox News Digital.
“This is another meaningless act of violence committed by someone who should not be in our country,” Landry said in response to his arrest. “Monsters like this are the reason the federal government is opening up Guantanamo Bay. We are standing with our victims.”
