Man Discovers Woman Stalking Him After Belongings Moved

A man from Pennsylvania noticed over several weeks that his belongings were being moved around in his home. This unsettling experience took a strange turn when he allegedly caught a familiar face—one from a dating site—breaking into his residence.

According to a police report, the man had met 30-year-old Lindsey Carol Harris on Match in January. Their brief relationship soured, leading to his attempts to end things. However, it seems Harris wasn’t ready to let go, continuing to contact him despite requests to stop.

Police were called to the man’s residence on June 28 after receiving reports of a woman attempting to break in. As voiced by Falls County Police Chief Nelson Whitney, officers arrived to find Harris crawling through a window and promptly took her into custody.

Authorities revealed that Harris, determined to rekindle their connection, had shown up at the man’s house with a bottle of wine and Italian ice cream, even after he expressed his desire to sever ties. Shockingly, when the man saw her peering through his sliding glass door, he felt compelled to call 911.

After her arrest, Harris faced charges of robbery, trespassing, and stalking. Remarkably, she was released the same day after posting 10% of her $50,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for July 21.

Confusion set in for the man when he realized his belongings had been tampered with multiple times, even without him ever sharing his address with Harris.

Whitney cautioned that individuals are quite adept at finding information online, a reminder of the unpredictable nature of modern dating and privacy.
