TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — One Florida man convicted of killing two women in California is scheduled to be executed in Florida under a death warrant signed Tuesday by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, the fifth of the year.
Glenn Edward Rogers, 62, is due to die May 15th at a Florida prison near Stark City.
Rogers was convicted in 1997 and sentenced to death for the murder of Tina Marie Cribbs.
The two were seen leaving Gibsonton, Florida in November 1995.
It was discovered that the woman was stabbed to death in the hotel bathroom two days later.
Rogers was sentenced to another death sentence in California in 1999.
He met Sandra Gallagher in September 1995 at a bar in Vannuis, California.
Her severely burned body was found in a truck a day later near Rogers’ apartment.
Rogers is also suspected of several other murders across the United States.
Three other executions were held in Florida this year, with the fourth, all by fatal injections on May 1st.
On March 20th, 63-year-old Edward James was executed in 1993 for killing an eight-year-old girl and her grandmother.

James Dennis Ford, 64, died on February 13th of the 1997 couple’s murder during a fishing trip.
Earlier this month, 48-year-old Michael Tanji died of a fatal injection on April 8th after tempted and murdered a woman with a Florida key in 2000.
Jeffrey Hutchinson, a 59-year-old Gulf War Army veteran, is due to die on May 1st of a fatal injection.
He was convicted of killing his girlfriend and her three children with a shotgun.
