The viral Reddit drama garnered around 1,200 reactions as people weighed in on the rail travel controversy and other issues that are upsetting to many.

The poster, who posted under the username SnuffleWumpkins, added: “I didn’t feel like standing around so I kept trying to get his attention by saying ‘excuse me’.”

The Reddit poster added: “I replied that my seat wasn’t for putting my bag, sat down next to him, and apart from the occasional angry stare, that was it.
“I don’t feel any guilt or anything.”
