A foreign national, accused of murder, is under scrutiny after allegedly killing a 15-year-old boy who tried to protect his mother from an assault. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has stated that the suspect, Gildardo Amandor-Martinez, 36, will be deported back to Mexico.
The incident occurred on July 20 when Amandor-Martinez allegedly shot Luis Jocsan Nanez Lopez while attempting to rape the boy’s mother, who is also his girlfriend.
“The Biden administration’s open border policy allowed this person to carry out horrific crimes against a mother and her children,” a spokesperson commented.
According to court documents, Amandor-Martinez came home from a bar around 2:30 a.m. and attempted to force himself on his girlfriend, who resisted. Luis intervened after his mother cried out for help.
The teen asked his mother whether to call the police, but Amandor-Martinez ordered him to leave. As he prepared to exit the apartment, he reportedly fired three shots, striking the boy in the face.
Sadly, Luis did not survive. Meanwhile, the mother escaped with three other young children. She later claimed to have heard more gunshots as they fled.
Amandor-Martinez now faces serious charges, including murder and attempted rape.
“Fifteen-year-old Louis Lopez died trying to protect his mother from this criminal,” commented Homeland Security Advisor Tricia McLaughlin. “This man should have never been allowed to remain in this country.”
McLaughlin also pointed to former President Biden, criticizing the policies that allowed Amandor-Martinez to be in the U.S. “These policies have led to tragedies like this, affecting families across America,” she added.
