In 2011, Tyree Smith, known as the “Bridgeport Cannibal Killer,” is said to have killed a homeless man on hatched and ate one of his brain and eyeballs. Today, Smith is being reintroduced into the community.
How on earth is this possible?
Pat Gray and the “Unleashed” panel jump into the scandal.

According to ReportConnecticut's Psychiatric Security Review Board declared sufficient stabilization for conditional release from Whiting Forensic Hospital, the largest security agency since 2013, when Smith was found to be innocent on crazy reasons for schizophrenia. He is slowly returned to society with supervision and continuous treatment.
The victim's families and state legislators have expressed concern. The judge at Smith's trial ordered him to be psychiatric confined for 60 years. It seems a little premature to shorten his captivity by nearly 50 years.
But according to the hospital director, Smith is “a joy.”
“He is considered a support for others. After he was stable, he was a real calm presence for other patients,” says Pat.
Pad's chin is approaching the floor.
“'I was blugging my neighbor and having a snack with his frontal lobe, can I serve slices?” And I said, “I mean, it's really fun. You're the joy of offering me that part of the brain,” he laughs.
“Are you sure they're pretty rehabilitated?” he then asks in earnest.
“Why are you not crazy guilty?” asks the co-host Keith Marinack. “Congratulations, we are now moving forward as a society to release Hannibal Lecter into the wild.”
