A man suspected of shooting and killing two people in southern Utah earlier this week remains on the run, police say.
Police were called to a home on E. Chinook Street in Washington, Utah, around 7 p.m. Tuesday, reporting gunshots heard from inside the home, a few miles northeast of St. George. When officers arrived on scene, the front door was ajar, allowing easy entry into the home.
In a ministry statement posted to Facebook, Klotz described Bailey as a “transgender man transitioning to female.” In a subsequent interview with St. George News, he repeatedly used female pronouns when describing Bailey.
Once inside, officers made a horrifying discovery: two adults, a man and a woman, were dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers attempted to provide medical assistance but were unsuccessful. The identities of the victims have not been released, ABC4 He described them as a “couple.”
No one else was in the home at the time, but police found evidence that indicated the two people who died were the victims of a “homicide,” police Lt. Corey Klotz said. Washington Police Department.
Police have identified one suspect in this case: 28-year-old Collin Troy Bailey, a biological male who disguises himself as a woman and goes by the name Mia Bailey. Bailey’s connection to the victims is unknown, and police have not said why they believe he may have been involved in the victims’ untimely deaths.
Bailey also remains at large and is on the run in a bright yellow Kia Soul with Utah license plates UO69GF. Bailey is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs just 130 pounds and has brown hair, although Klotz noted Bailey frequently wears different wigs.
Klotz warned that the suspect may be carrying a small-caliber handgun and urged anyone who sees Bailey or his vehicle to call police immediately and not attempt to engage in a confrontation.

“Her whereabouts are unknown,” Klotz said. “She is considered armed and dangerous.”
The Facebook post suggests Bailey may still be in Washington County, Utah. Though the possible killer is on the run, the post claims there is “no threat to the public.” The case remains under investigation.
