An armed man who brought a gun and a knife to Arizona Stadium ahead of Charlie Kirk’s funeral has been confirmed by Turning Point USA to not have posed a genuine threat. Instead, he was reportedly conducting a security sweep prior to the memorial service on Sunday.
Joshua Landclells, who was arrested at State Farm Stadium, had previously handled security for notable guests during events organized by the conservative group Kirk founded. A spokesperson for TPUSA, Andrew Corvette, expressed, “I don’t think this individual had any ill intentions, but it seems there wasn’t proper coordination with the TPUSA security team or the US Secret Service.”
