Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that the Global Engagement Center was closure as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to close the “censored industrial complex.”
“It is my joy to announce today that the State Department is taking an important step towards maintaining the President’s promise to free American speech by eternally abolishing the body formerly known as the Global Engagement Centre (GEC)” I wrote it In a paper for the federalists entitled “Rubio: Censorship Industrial Parks Must be demolished to protect freedom of speech.”
Rubio wrote that in 2016 the Obama administration changed the GEC’s focus on fighting international terrorism, covering all “foreign and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts.”
Rubio explained:
This pivot was no coincidence. The Obama man in charge of Rick Stengel’s GEC promoted efforts to protect “democracy” while redefineing “democracy,” which has come to mean “democracy” to silence some of the electorals he dislikes.
In 2019, Stengel directly equated President Trump’s campaign with foreign and terrorist propaganda. write“Trump used the same disinformation techniques as the Russians and roughly the same fear tactics as ISIS.” The same year, Stengel I wrote it The entire article on “Why is the Hate Speech Act necessary in America?”
The Secretary of State said the GEC is a “faithful partner” in the Election Honest Partnership (EIP) that monitored alleged misinformation about the 2020 election.
“EIP has almost exclusively selected the accounts and stories related to President Trump and his supporters, and in fact, flagged President Trump’s tweets directly along with his family and friends in the administration,” Rubio pointed out.
“A multi-million dollar budget paid by American taxpayers has raised grants to organizations dedicated to promoting voice restrictions in the fight against ‘disinformation’,” Rubio continued.
He said one recipient of the US taxpayer dollar has decided to publish his op-ed on Federalists as it is a global disinformation index.
As Breitbart News detailed, the top 10 outlets at the highest risk of spreading the transformation were centrally leaning outlets such as Federalists and The The The. New York Postsome outlets were the least likely to spread disinformation, such as HuffPost and Propublica.
Rubio said, “From the start, the entire ‘disinformation’ industry has existed to protect American facilities from forgotten American voices. What it does is Russian interference, misinformation, “misinformation, ‘Medle’ that brought President Trump’s victory in 2016, not President Trump’s victory.”
“The Trump administration rejects this anti-American attitude. Americans don’t need to “protect” them to “protect” them from lies by trying to oppress X and ban users or try to go out of business with Federalists.
Rubio also held a live discussion with Mike Benz, a former State Department official and executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO).
