An attorney for Maria Bartiromo has issued a strong denial regarding reports of her firing from Fox News. This comes after a statement from the network stated that she had “parted ways” with them, effective immediately.
Her attorney’s statement emphasized that claims about Bartiromo being fired or no longer part of Fox are “absolutely and unequivocally false.” The attorney asserted that they possess evidence, including receipts and witnesses, to support their position and that those insisting on her dismissal are demonstrating a blatant disregard for the truth.
In response to the attorney’s remarks, Fox News simply stated that its prior announcement “speaks for itself.” The context of this situation includes allegations that Bartiromo improperly informed the White House about Fox’s choice not to air the president’s claims of election fraud.
Bartiromo previously worked at CNN and CNBC before joining Fox News in 2014. She hosted two programs, notably “Mornings with Maria” and “Sunday Morning Futures,” both of which will undergo name changes following her exit.
Reports also noted that her profiles have been removed from Fox News and Fox Business websites, sparking further speculation around her status.
Interestingly, the former president commented on the situation through social media, expressing his disbelief at her departure and commending Bartiromo as a “total professional” and a “true warrior,” while predicting that her fans would be unhappy.
Additionally, Bartiromo made history in 1995 as the first reporter to report daily from the New York Stock Exchange and was recognized as the first female journalist inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame in 2011.
