On Tuesday, former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed that the future of the Republican Party is “destroyed” following Rep. Thomas Massie’s loss to Ed Gullane, a challenger supported by President Donald Trump, in the Republican primary for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District.
Greene stated, “I am proud and grateful to have served in the U.S. House alongside my friend Thomas Massey. The release of the Epstein files contributed to our downfall, but it was worth it because now everyone knows the truth. We are ruled by the Epstein class, who disregard the public, and your elected leaders are influenced by foreign lobbies.” She shared these sentiments on social media.
“Tonight, the future of the Republican Party was destroyed. A true America First movement will emerge, led by a younger generation that deeply opposes the Old Guard,” Greene added optimistically. “Let’s hope we have a country left before these figures are gone.”
Massie responded to comments from Indiana Republican Rep. Erin Houchin, who celebrated Gullane’s victory, saying, “How do his boots taste?” He also shared that it took time to find his opponent in Tel Aviv, mentioning this during his concession speech.
Florida Congressman Randy Fine shared a graphic portraying Massie in tears, calling him a “loser.” Meanwhile, Senator Lindsey Graham emphasized Trump’s influence, congratulating Gullane on his victory and anticipating that he would make significant contributions to the House.
On a lighter note, Graham acknowledged the differences between himself and Massie but noted his respect for Massie’s commitment to his beliefs and wished him well.
