Marshawn Lynch’s New Role Behind the Camera

Marshawn Lynch, once a formidable force in football, is now channeling his energy into photography. The former All-Pro running back has transitioned from the field to capturing moments, having earned his certification as an NFL photographer.

During a preseason matchup in Seattle between the Seahawks and the Raiders, he demonstrated a classic stiff arm—not directed at a defender, but instead to protect his camera as Seattle scored a 24-yard touchdown.

Lynch, who played his final NFL game in 2019, enjoyed notable stints with both the Seahawks and Raiders. Since retiring, he has diversified his interests, engaging in team ownership with the Oakland Roots SC and Seattle Kraken, as well as investing in cannabis ventures and tech startups.

This new hobby seems to have taken off for the 39-year-old, possibly inspired by other Seattle sports icons like Ken Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson. Known to NFL fans as “Beast Mode,” Lynch was a powerhouse during his prime, especially noted for his time with the Seahawks in the mid-2010s.

He joined the Seahawks back in 2010, contributing significantly during their playoff runs from 2011 to 2014, when Russell Wilson was leading the charge and Pete Carroll was coaching. Over his impressive career, Lynch amassed over 10,000 rushing yards and 85 touchdowns.

His photographic exploits went viral on social media that night, igniting a wave of playful jokes about his new role behind the lens.

One Instagram user quipped, “Bro went from Beast Mode to Portrait Mode,” while another humorously suggested, “When you actually start applying for a random job.” A third commenter reminisced, saying, “The memory of those muscles came from the clutch. Don’t change the beast mode.”
