Maryland Republican Senate candidate Larry Hogan says in a new ad that, if elected, he intends to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law and ally with President Biden on abortion.

“I’m Larry Hogan, and as governor, I promised to uphold Maryland’s abortion laws and provide over-the-counter contraception covered by insurance, and I kept that promise,” Hogan told the camera.
“Today, with the Roe Bill overturned, many of you asked what I would do in the U.S. Senate. “I support legislation that would make that happen,” he says.
