Elite high school quarterback Peyton ‘Pop’ Houston is making waves with his role in the Fox Nation series ‘God. Family. Football.’ The Louisiana native, who is set to play for LSU, shared insights on how he balances an impressive 4.0 GPA while excelling on the football field.

Yet again, high school football continues to impress. I mean, Friday Night Lights just keeps delivering, and I can’t remember a time it ever let me down. Honestly, I have no doubt it won’t in the future either.

I’ve decided to take it upon myself to highlight at least one player, play, or story from the high school football scene every Saturday during the season. With the new NIL rules, these players are about to see some serious money, so it feels right to spot them early, I guess.

High school football really is, I believe, the backbone of our communities. You can often tell how important it is to a town just by the size of their football stadium.

This season alone, we’ve witnessed some jaw-dropping moments, like what many are calling the top running back in the country in Tennessee, a wild Hail Mary pass in Florida, and even a California team facing suspension because of a mascot misbehaving during a rivalry game.

Today, let’s shift our focus to Kentucky, where Boyle County tight end Seneca Driver had a notable reaction when a defender intercepted a pass intended for him—he didn’t hold back, tossing the defender to the ground with quite a force.

Seneca Driver seems like he’ll do well at Oklahoma

Wow! That’s what I call a hit—extremely impactful and aggressive. Just look at his size; it’s impressive. Not just a boy, he’s definitely a force on the field, out there in Kentucky.

Driver stands tall at 6-foot-6 and weighs 234 pounds. He was named Kentucky’s 4A Player of the Year last season after helping Boyle County clinch a state title, accumulating impressive stats like 875 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense, along with 67 tackles and five interceptions on defense.

He had offers from several major schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Auburn, and Cincinnati before deciding to commit to Oklahoma in March. Driver is recognized by Rivals and 247Sports as one of the top tight ends in the nation and notably recorded four touchdowns along with an interception in a single half during one game earlier this season.

Looks like the Sooners are bringing in a talented player!
