One third of the population of Tapachula, Mexico is currently made up of migrants attempting to cross the border.
Todd Bensman, a senior fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, said these 150,000 migrants were kept behind a military cordon in a Mexican military operation to “avoid creating a political spectacle at the border.” Explain that it is being done.
“This goes back to an agreement signed in December 2023 to reduce the total number that was influencing the outcome of the polls and worsening the outcome. “It's an astronomical number of migrants who are trapped in the Gaza Strip,” he told Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson on “Blaze News Tonight.”
Tapachula's migrants are “in absolute distress” as they have exhausted all available resources.
“People are sleeping on the streets, they don't have rooms in shelters, they don't have rooms in hotels, they just keep staking out because they're afraid Donald Trump is going to win,” Bensman said.
“There's a real sense of crisis among the immigrants here, and they're trying to get out of Tapachula by forming caravans and forcing their way out of Tapachula,” he continues. “About 1,000 or 2,000 more men are currently forming ranks in downtown Tapachula, ready to march to other cities below, provided that the Mexican army will allow them to pass.”
These immigrants are not only from Mexico. They come from all over the world.
“They're all coming with the hope that soon the Mexicans will relent and let them through. And that's the big problem: The Mexicans have an agreement that Biden made when he was running for president. ” Bensman asks.
Peterson is shocked.
“All of us here are old enough to remember a time when it was terrifying for children to be in cages. Now hundreds of thousands of children could go missing. “But here it's okay. There's a city in a cage,” he says.
“No one in the legacy media is talking about this. It's insane,” he added.
