Mattel customers received a polite apology from the toymaker after they were mistakenly directed to a pornographic website instead of the new Wicked doll line.
“We deeply regret this unfortunate mistake and are taking immediate corrective action,” the contrite toy company said in a statement to CNN.

But astute fans posted images on social media showing that the packaging contained a pornographic website rather than the film's web address.
In a statement obtained by UPI, Mattel said it became aware of the issue over the weekend. It is unclear how many toys were affected by the printing error, but the company said the toys are primarily sold in the United States.
Mattel recommends dolls for children ages 4 and up.
Mattel is advising anyone in possession of the incorrectly printed packages to throw them away while harshly reprimanding those responsible for the original mistake.
