Media outlet removes Cohen podcasts following allegations related to Trump case

Meidas Touch Ends Partnership with Michael Cohen

Meidas Touch, a left-leaning media organization, announced on Saturday that it will no longer collaborate with Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney. Cohen stated he felt “pressured and coerced” during his testimony in New York, suggesting that the aim was to secure a conviction against Trump.

Cohen shared, “Program Note: MeidasTouch Network will no longer produce or broadcast programming,” referring specifically to his shows, Political Beatdown and Mea Culpa, in a post on Substack. He accused New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of focusing only on evidence that would support their case against Trump.

In a subsequent Substack post, Cohen revealed that Meidas Touch had decided to part ways with him. He expressed disappointment over this decision, likening the loss of partnership to losing a family member. While he noted that his podcast will continue, it won’t be under the Three Brothers network anymore.

Cohen maintained that his critiques of the justice system stem from personal experience. “Some may think I want a pardon,” he wrote, “and sure, I’d like a felony conviction to be erased. Who wouldn’t? But my pursuit for justice goes beyond self-interest.”

In his Substack messages, Cohen conveyed feelings of being pressured to offer specific information that aligned with the government’s interests, particularly against Trump. He emphasized that both James and Bragg were using their cases to enhance their own profiles as officials who took down Trump.

In a civil suit initiated by James’ office in 2023, Cohen testified about Trump’s actions, which included fraudulently inflating asset values to secure better loan terms. He also provided testimony in another case where Trump faced multiple counts of falsifying business records.

As Cohen spoke about his experiences, he clarified that he wasn’t advocating for Trump. He expressed concern over prosecutors who select a target before finding evidence that fits their narrative.

In response, Trump shared his thoughts on Truth Social, criticizing the prosecutors and labeling them as “horrible radical leftists.” He claimed the situation was “set up from the beginning,” urging that the legal actions taken against him shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Cohen had previously pleaded guilty in 2018 to several federal offenses, such as campaign finance violations and lying to Congress.
