Murdered Hollywood mother Mayle Lee Haskell was likely beaten, shot and suffocated before being hacked to pieces with power tools, horrifying new details from her autopsy reveal The possibility that she was still alive at the time of her decapitation could not be ruled out.
The 37-year-old wife of Hollywood executive son Sam Haskell IV, charged with murdering himself and his still-missing parents, was shot in the base of the neck with a “sharp force”, according to an autopsy report. It is said that he was beheaded. It was obtained by the Daily Mail.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office report said an unidentified “sharp power tool” appeared to have been used to remove the head and arm because the bone at the site of the amputation was “very smooth.”

“Although there were no conclusive indications that the amputation occurred antemortem, we cannot completely exclude the possibility that head and neck removal began before death,” the coroner wrote.
Although the victim’s toxicology report showed no traces of drugs in her body, the coroner could not rule out the possibility that she was poisoned with an unknown substance.
Mei Li’s death was ruled a homicide, with the cause of death likely being blunt force trauma to the head/neck, gunshot wound to the head, or sharp impact injury. She may have suffocated, the autopsy said.
The autopsy report stated, “Given the circumstances of the incident, including deliberate concealment by dismemberment and disposal of the body, the cause of death was due to homicidal assault.”
Mei Li’s husband, Sam Haskell IV, 35, is accused of killing and cutting up his wife and her parents, Gooshan Li, 72, and Yanshan Wang, 64. He was charged with first-degree murder in the incident, but his body was never found. .
Haskell was arrested on Nov. 8 after a homeless man discovered his wife’s headless torso wrapped in plastic in a trash can near his home in Tarzana, California.
