Memorable Moments from President Trump’s Trip to the UAE

On Thursday, President Donald Trump concluded his Middle East trip with a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

After addressing troops at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Trump arrived in the UAE to another warm welcome, similar to what he experienced in both Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Upon landing at Abu Dhabi International Airport, he was greeted by UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

This greeting was soon followed by an impressive cultural display, featuring a dancer swaying her long hair in rhythm with the drums.

Trump and Bin Zayed then proceeded to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, where they admired the stunning architecture.

Later, they attended an official state visit ceremony at Qasr Al Watan.

During the ceremony, Bin Zayed was awarded Trump’s Order of Zayed.

Trump expressed enthusiasm about their friendship, stating, “There’s no doubt that the relationship will only be bigger and better. Your relationship and my relationship will not improve, so it’s at the highest level, so I can’t say it’s getting better, but our country will work together.”

He praised Bin Zayed as “a great warrior, a very strong man, a brilliant man, a man of vision like the others… and very respected.”

Celebrations for Trump in the UAE extended beyond Abu Dhabi, as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, was illuminated with the American flag.

Additionally, Trump announced over $200 billion in commercial agreements on Thursday, which adds to the $1.4 trillion in investments previously declared by the UAE, as highlighted in a White House fact sheet.

Throughout this Middle East trip, the president has reportedly secured over $2 trillion in new investments, including $1.2 trillion from Qatar and $600 billion from Saudi Arabia, according to the White House.
