Bernie, who did not want his last name published, told the station: “I didn't actually hear anything. They were very, very quiet. It was like they were sneaking up on me. But , I felt their presence. They didn't say anything, but when I looked, they were wearing ski masks.”

As I was running, I was shouting, 'Help me, help me, we're being robbed,'” he said. spoke. 'He pulled out a gun and put it in my face, and I said, 'What do you want?' He said, 'I want everything.' ”

They laugh and think it's a joke. To be honest, they laughed. I can't blame them. If I were in their shoes, I would have laughed about it too. “This incident is truly horrific and my heart goes out to this victim and our community,” said Police Chief Richard Worley. “More needs to be done to address the ongoing challenge of youth crime and its consequences and lack of accountability. These incidents undermine Border Force operations and threaten our safety. It undermines the trust our communities place in us to protect them.”
“Time and time again, we are frustrated by this pattern of having to arrest the same young people over and over again without receiving the accountability they need from other parts of the justice system,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott, a Democrat. The current pattern is that our residents, our city, and importantly our police officers are doing their job and we commend them for their quick action to find the perpetrators of this horrific attack. But clearly the larger system continues to fail, and without the additional support needed to make real change, the same environment cannot be held accountable or set on the right path. By bringing them back, we will save them.”
Bernie told WBFF: “There's no accountability. They keep letting them go, they keep letting them go, and this is what you're going to get. You're actually starting to think about changing some laws. It's best to act quickly before your home is damaged again.
