One of Mexico's most violent drug cartels that the US now considers as a terrorist organization, has released a video claiming that the recent news articles about the cartel's killing field and training camps attributed to them are manufactured. The drug cartel claimed that evidence was planted that the killing field was planted to hold them accountable.
In a video sent to various news outlets and posted online, Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) warned the news outlet to confirm the information they have published, “Please be more careful about denouncement of CJNG.”
The veiled threat comes a few days later, as reported by Breitbart Texas. A group of activists searching for large tombs and victims of aidation reported the discovery of a massive cartel killing site and training area at a place called Ranchoi Zagir in Teutilang, Jalisco.
The discovery sparked international outrage as activists reported finding them left hundreds of shoes and personal items on their property. The Mexican federal government called for not only the cartel's property but also the reasons why local governments didn't know about it and why they didn't act on it since it was reported that they had been active for at least 10 years before the property was abandoned.
In their video, CJNG alleged that the property had been seized earlier on September 18, 2024, and was attacked by authorities and found nothing during the visit. A cartel spokesman argued that the property had been under government control all along.
The masked man in the video argued that when activists entered the property on March 8th, they planted evidence and had to investigate who was supporting them and funding them.
