Michael Cohen returns to court for defense’s cross-examination in Trump’s New York case

Cohen acknowledged that Trump was not concerned “initially” about a false story by a former Trump Tower doorman alleging that the former president had a child with his maid. Cohen admitted that he wanted a position in President Trump’s White House, particularly as chief of staff, for “ego purposes.”

He also previously alleged that Stormy Daniels was trying to blackmail Trump by claiming she had an affair with former President Trump and accepting $130,000 in so-called hush money from Cohen to keep the allegations quiet. I also admitted that I believed it.

When Blanche asked Cohen about the settlement agreement, Cohen confirmed that it was “not illegal” and was “a fully legally binding agreement.”

Trump’s lawyers questioned Cohen about his comments on the podcast.
