Michael Cohen, Trump's former fix, starts a new job at WABC radio

Cohen Joins WABC Radio, Plans Unfiltered Discussions

Michael Cohen, former lawyer and fixer for President Trump, is set to join WABC Radio 770, as confirmed by The Post. He describes this opportunity as “totally liberating,” allowing him to establish a direct line to listeners.

Cohen shared plans to move 1.5 million followers from various platforms like podcasts and YouTube to his new radio show, emphasizing the need for a space where people can share “the unvarnished truth.” He mentioned enjoying radio because it creates an intimate connection with the audience, allowing his voice to reach listeners directly. He believes people can sense dishonesty, stating, “Trust me, after everything I’ve been through, I know exactly what BS smells like.” He aims to expose it every day.

Expressing a desire to focus on “accountability,” Cohen wants to represent the “exhausted majority” tired of the ongoing political battles in Washington that seemingly do nothing to aid average Americans. He aims to utilize his experiences to clarify issues and set the record straight.

John Catsimatidis, the owner of WABC and a staunch Trump supporter, noted that Cohen and the president have maintained a good relationship. Catsimatidis confirmed there were no objections from the White House regarding Cohen’s new role, and he anticipated that Cohen would likely be given a five-day regular spot.

Cohen is stepping in as the Sunday radio host, replacing Andrew Cuomo during his summer break. He previously gained notoriety for his involvement in hush money payments related to Trump’s 2016 campaign but now seems to be in a positive relationship with Trump.

In January, Cohen alleged that New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg pressured him to testify against Trump in a civil fraud case. On a recent broadcast, he mainly praised Trump, stating that while people may not agree with Trump’s methods, they should respect his agenda set by the voters.

Cohen remarked on Trump’s use of executive power, asserting that the president is attempting to employ his authority in unprecedented ways, aiming to implement policies he believes will benefit the nation. Recalling his time working for Trump, Cohen described himself as someone who would share uncomfortable truths with the president, which he acknowledged as part of Trump’s prerogative.

The new show is expected to launch on July 12th.
