Michael Rapaport says Alabama show was canceled due to support for Israel

Michael Rapaport’s Birmingham Show Allegedly Canceled

Comedian Michael Rapaport announced on Tuesday that his performance at the Star Dome Comedy Club in Birmingham, Alabama, was canceled. He took to social media to clarify, stating, “I didn’t cancel. I’ll never cancel, especially since I’m already in Birmingham and I’m ready to play.”

Rapaport suggested that the cancellation was related to his open support for Israel, although the venue has not made any official remarks about the situation.

He further expressed his frustration, mentioning, “It was closed to talk about the protests and threats against my support for Israel and the 50 hostages still being held in Gaza. In 670 days of captivity, are people protesting me by demanding their release? That’s embarrassing. It’s sad. But I’m not embarrassed.”

In his post, he shared images of two Jewish community members. “Fortunately, I was able to meet incredible people from Chabad, Alabama today and was blessed to wrap Tefillin. ‘Am Israel Chai,'” he added.

The event page for the Stardome appears to have been removed, and it seems there’s a broken link for his show scheduled for Tuesday, where doors were supposed to open at 6:15 pm and the show at 7:30 pm.

I reached out to Stardome for a comment, but there hasn’t been any immediate response yet.
