Guatemalan immigrants were sentenced to life in prison last year for acquiring and raping a 12-year-old girl in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
Antonio Agustin Iron, a 34-year-old Guatemalan national whose immigration status remains unknown, has been sentenced after pleading guilty this month to accusations of child sex crimes against him.
In August 2024, Agustin Iron was charged by a large ju trial on charges of rape, serious sexual imposement, sexual orientation issues involving minors or persons with disabilities, and custody interference.

After the indictment, Agustin Iron pleaded not guilty and claimed that he changed his plea on March 10th.
According to law enforcement, in May 2024, Agustin Iron met Maria Gomez Perez of Gainesville, Georgia, and took her to her home more than 600 miles away in Ohio. Police eventually contacted her family and launched a nationwide search for the girl who said she was “alright.”
On July 25th, law enforcement found a girl and Agustin Eilen in a public swimming pool in Ohio. Officers chased them as they left the pool, detaining Agustin Aylen and returning the girl to her family.
Agustin-Ilon must serve fully for the first 15 years as part of his sentence.
