An undocumented immigrant, previously convicted of various crimes including battery and illegal gun possession, struck an ICE officer with his vehicle during a traffic stop in Sacramento.
The Department of Homeland Security reported that on March 25, they tried to arrest The Lee, an illegal alien from Laos with a significant criminal history. However, Lee fled the scene in his car and collided with an ICE officer, who fortunately was not hurt in the incident.
Authorities have reiterated that Lee should be considered dangerous due to his extensive record, which includes vehicle theft, possession of stolen goods, conspiracy, petty theft, two DUI charges, and resisting arrest, among others.
An immigration judge had issued a removal order for Lee back in 2010. This confrontation comes on the heels of another alarming incident involving ICE agents and violent suspects just weeks prior. In mid-March, federal authorities released disturbing images showing severe bite marks on an ICE agent attacked by a suspected member of a Venezuelan gang during an attempted arrest in San Diego.
Also, just last week, ICE apprehended a suspected undocumented immigrant in the San Fernando Valley who was allegedly armed with a homemade flamethrower, after bystanders intervened and restrained him with zip ties before handing him over to federal agents. This occurred amidst reports of active wildfires in the vicinity.
