Mike Lindell Considers Run for Minnesota Governor
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has taken steps towards potentially running for the position of Republican governor in Minnesota. He filed necessary paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office on Wednesday, signaling his interest in the race.
In a conversation with Minnesota Public Radio, Lindell shared that while he hasn’t made a definitive decision yet, he’s quite inclined to enter the campaign. He indicated that if discussions go well, an announcement could come shortly.
“I’m 98% sure I’m going to,” he noted when queried about his campaign intentions. “I will announce either way on December 11th.”
The current governor, Tim Walz, previously ran as a vice presidential candidate alongside Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, which did not go as planned. Recently, he has faced scrutiny over allegations regarding his handling of issues within Minnesota’s sizable Somali community.
Back in September, Walz revealed his intent to pursue a third term in the upcoming 2026 gubernatorial election. Meanwhile, Donald Trump, a strong supporter of Lindell, has expressed criticism of Walz, suggesting there are deeper issues at play with him.
