The body of a 62-year-old Minnesota man was found partially submerged in water at the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota on Friday.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital that the man, identified as Mark Hamm, was found by a canoeist who called 911 around 5 p.m.

Family members told police that Hamm was not wearing a life jacket and was alone in the canoe. A life jacket was found at the scene.
